
Based on the experience at a Japanese HR
consulting firm for a few years, Eshima founded Tokyo Executive Search Co.,
Ltd., known as TESCO, in 1975. This was one of very few HR recruiting
agencies established at that time in Japan, and as a matter of fact was the
first firm specializing in executive search business. In 1986, TESCO was
affiliated with Ward Howell International and successfully represented Japan
for 11 years by March 1997.
He conducts executive searches for himself at top and senior management
levels mainly for Japanese companies. He has worked for long time for such
growing company as Benesse Corporation (Japan's largest direct marketing
education company) to successfully place top and senior management
positions.
Eshima, currently, is President of the Japan Executive Search and
Recruitment Association and also plays an important role in the Japan
Federation of Employment Agencies Association as a Director. With this role
to represent the recruiting industry in Japan, he frequently appears in mass
media to promote the importance of the executive search business.
Eshima graduated with a BA in Law from Chuo University, Tokyo and studied
Business Administration at UCLA. He is married with one daughter and enjoys
oil painting during the off time.
