
John Price is a veteran of the
Australian ICT Industry with 25 years in Executive Search and Assessment.
John is deeply networked into the industry and has recruited some of the
industries’ most successful executives.
As part of his philosophy, John invested his time back into the industry
after the sale of his last executive recruitment company, JSP Associates.
Intermingled with executive assessment and search projects, John spent two
years working with Australian IT vendors including a period as CEO of
Intermine, a software development company that was rapidly growing its
presence internationally. He also served as a non executive Director of the
private equity firm Incite Capital ; ITem3, an ICT incubator and Terasys an
ICT training organisation in joint venture with TAFE.
Over many years John has enjoyed giving service to the industry through the
Australian Information Industry Association ( AIIA) serving as a Board
member for the past 12 years and the NSW Branch for 19 years. His knowledge
of industry issues that face the key executives include Government
regulations, IP management, Procurement and Industry Development is
invaluable in the assessment process.
Such depth of hands on executive and non executive experience, coupled with
so many years in Executive Search, positions John well for understanding the
issues of clients and how to match incoming executives for the main team.
The ITP Worldwide practice in Australia is focused on recruiting CEO’s,
Regional VPs, Country Managers and the first level executives of both
Australian and multinational suppliers of hardware, software and services.
The practice also services the VC and ICT investment community, recruiting
partners and senior associates plus CIO and equivalent positions for the
customers of the suppliers.
John has worked on international searches with ITP Worldwide and understands
the complexities of moving executives to another country, their orientation
and success factors. Within ITP there is a strong Asia Pacific team
incorporating, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Malaysia, New
Zealand and Australia. Regular team meetings maximise the team work needed
to complete the needs of regionally based clients.
John is a proponent of leadership practices and assessment with particular
interest in emotional intelligence which he believes contributes
significantly to the success of the top executives in any corporation, large
or small.
