Etienne Reeners,
Managing Partner, founded Hightech Partners in 1986, has over twenty years
experience in executive search. He has conducted numerous pan-European
assignments on behalf of multi-national Information Technology companies for
positions such as: CEO's, Vice Presidents, General Managers as well as
functional executive positions. In 1993, he participated in the creation of
International Technology Partners (ITP).
Prior to founding Hightech Partners he was Vice President of Heidrick &
Struggles, a world-wide US executive search firm, where he developed a
significant pan-European search practice specializing in the Information
Technology industry.
Previously, Mr. Reeners was a Partner in Berndtson International, a European
based search firm.
He spent his earlier career in the computer industry with Honeywell and
General Electric Information Services, holding positions such as: Sales
Representative, District Manager and Territory Sales and Marketing Manager.
Mr. Reeners holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Louvain,
Belgium. He is married with two children and resides in Brussels, Belgium.

Bert Vermeiren, Partner, has twenty-five years
experience in Human Resources of which half is in the ICT industry. He has
acquired experience in supporting fast growth scenarios, mergers and
acquisitions and restructuring in an international environment. His
expertise includes change management, management assessment, skills
management, training and education, executive recruitment, selection and
assessment centers, compensation and benefits, as well as other HR areas.
He has been in Executive Search since 2005.
He worked for 6 years as an HR executive for the international development
and production center of Philips Lighting and in a joint venture with
Matsushita (Philips Matsushita Battery Corporation) and later joined IBM
Belgium/Luxembourg as HR Director. He was a member of the Regional
Management Team and helped IBM to transition from a country based to a
business unit focused organization and from a hardware company to an ICT
service provider.
Mr. Vermeiren also worked for Lernout & Hauspie NV as Worldwide VP Human
Resources out of their headquarters in Belgium and in Boston. L&H was a
leader in speech recognition and speech synthesis software. He contributed
to the survival of the business when they entered into Chapter 11 and were
finally taken over by Scansoft.
Thereafter Mr. Vermeiren joined Real Software, a European ICT software and
services provider, as Group HR Director and a member of the management team.
Mr. Vermeiren has a Masters Degree in Economy (University of Antwerp) and in
Communication (University of Louvain).
He is fluent in Dutch, English and French and resides in Antwerp, Belgium.
